The Torch Foundation Student Sponsorships

The Torch Foundation student sponsorships impact the community, the lives of individual teens and their families. Each $1,000 contribution sponsors four individual students to attend the Torch leadership training. At each level of sponsorship, more students are able to attend the training that transforms their lives. The difference you make through student sponsorship is personal and immediate, with more students being trained within weeks of your contribution. 

Student candidates are referred by parents, schools, churches, law enforcement and community leaders. There is a great need for the Torch training - teens are hungry for the experience and the new possibilities. The program is promoted in the community; therefore, sponsorship contributions go directly to student scholarships. The impact you make is proportional to your generosity.

Angel Levels of Sponsorship

Diamond      --      $10,000   (40+ students) 

Emerald        --        $7,500   (30 students)

Sapphire       --        $5,000   (20 students)

Platinum       --        $2,500   (10 students)

Gold             --        $1,000   (4  students)

Silver            --           $500   (2 students)

Guardian      --           $250    ( 1 student) {$21/mo.} 

Continuous Sponsorship

Continuous contributions may be arranged for a 12 month period or longer. Your level of sponsorship is determined by the total of the 12 month commitment. For example, if you decide to become a Emerald Angel providing sponsorships for 30 students ($7,500), the amount may be divided into 12 equal portions. You may specify automatic payments from a debit card, credit card or by ACH transfer from a checking account. 

Acknowledgement

The Torch Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit tax exempt organization. Public or private acknowledgment will be provided for Angels who sponsor multiple students.

Significant sponsorship grants from corporations and foundations will be acknowledged on Torch Foundation printed materials, the website and announcements for upcoming events.

How can you help? 

Torch students are not charged for the training – all fees are paid by scholarships and donations. Trainings are held 16 times a year and cost $250 per student or $21 a month. By sponsoring a student, you offer the world a new leader; can change the future for a teen that needs love, support and a chance at success. You also support their family, community and the world in which they live – all for $21 a month. One youth at a time, we can change the world!
